Prerequisites

  • Active Nira account (or in trial)

  • Basic understanding of your team size and measurement needs

  • Access to your billing settings if you plan to upgrade

The $19 vs. $119 Pricing Question

This is our most common billing question, and the answer is straightforward:

$19 per month is the annual plan price — you commit for a year and pay $228 upfront, which breaks down to $19/month.

$119 per month is the monthly plan price — you pay month-to-month with no long-term lock-in.

To quote a recent customer: "We are confused with the pricing on your website. When signing up it states $19 per month but when we go to checkout after our trial it is stating $119 per calendar month."

Both are real options. The annual plan is cheaper if you're confident you'll use Nira for a full year. The monthly plan costs more but gives you flexibility. This applies only to Individual plans. Professional and Enterprise plans have custom pricing.

If you're already on the monthly plan and want to switch to annual (and get the $19/month rate), go to Account Settings > Billing and look for "Edit Plan" or "Switch to Annual."

Plan Details

Individual

Best for: Freelance surveyors, solo inspectors, small consultancies, site contractors, and anyone testing Nira during trial.

What's included:

  • All core 3D viewing (point clouds, 3DGS, orthomosaics, meshes)

  • Distance measurements only — no volume, area, or slope calculations

  • Full annotation and callout support

  • Photo inspection workflows

  • 1 TB storage per month

  • Public and password-protected sharing links

  • No team member management

Real-world example: A freelance surveyor uses Nira to capture and share site photos with homeowners. She doesn't need volume calculations — just distance measurements and annotations. Individual is perfect for her solo workflow.

When Individual makes sense: You're the only person uploading and managing assets. You need basic distance measurements for site documentation. You're comfortable handling all asset management alone.

Storage overage: Exceed 1 TB in a calendar month? You'll be prompted to purchase additional storage at $0.50/GB, or upgrade to Professional (which includes more storage and measurement features). Before paying overage fees repeatedly, upgrading usually makes financial sense.

Professional

Best for: Engineering teams, survey firms, inspection companies, contractors delivering client reports, and organizations needing collaboration and advanced analysis.

What's included:

  • All Individual features, plus:

  • Full measurement suite: Volume, area, slope, and elevation calculations on 3D surfaces

  • PDF report generation: Compile callouts, measurements, screenshots, and annotations into downloadable inspection reports

  • User management: Invite up to 50+ team members with granular roles (Administrator, Team Member, Contributor, External Guest)

  • View Variants: Save multiple display configurations of the same asset (different angles, overlays, annotations)

  • Asset Compare (A/B Timeline): Overlay different versions to track progress, changes, or stockpile volumes over time

  • Embedding: Embed interactive 3D views in your website, client portals, or internal dashboards

  • Custom branding: Add your company logo and customize the interface

  • Larger storage allocation: Typically 5–20 TB depending on your needs

  • Team roles and permissions: Control who can upload, view, edit, and manage users

Real-world example: An engineering firm doing a volumetric survey for a mining operation uses Professional to capture ore stockpile measurements, share annotated views with the client, and generate weekly PDF reports showing volume changes. Their four-person team each logs in to upload new flights and review shared assets.

When Professional makes sense: You work with a team or need to share assets with clients. You generate inspection reports. You need volume calculations for mining, land surveys, or progress tracking. You want granular control over who sees what.

Enterprise

Best for: Large organizations, government agencies, regulated industries (defense, energy), consultancies handling IP-sensitive work, and companies needing advanced customization or data sovereignty.

What's included:

  • All Professional features, plus:

  • White labeling: Remove all Nira branding for a fully custom experience

  • Custom domain: Use your own domain for all shared links

  • Region locking: Ensure data stays within specified geographic boundaries (covers processing, storage, and computation — not just data at rest)

  • On-premises deployment: Self-hosted Nira on your infrastructure for maximum control

  • SSO integration: Connect to Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, or other identity providers for seamless team access

  • Upload API & client tool: Programmatic asset uploads; integrate Nira into your existing pipeline

  • Unlimited team members: No seat limits

  • Dedicated support: Priority support with an assigned contact

Real-world example: A U.S. government contractor uses Enterprise with region locking to ensure all drone imagery and processing stays within U.S. data centers. Their SSO integration connects to their Active Directory, and they embed Nira views in their internal project management system via the API.

When Enterprise makes sense: You handle government or defense data requiring data sovereignty. You need on-premises hosting for compliance. You're reselling or white-labeling Nira to clients. You require SSO for enterprise security. You're automating asset uploads via API.

Storage: What Counts and What Doesn't

Your monthly storage limit covers only uploaded 3D files and textures — the raw data files themselves.

Storage does NOT include:

  • Measurements (distance, volume, area, slope, elevation)

  • Callouts and annotations

  • View variants

  • PDF reports generated from your data

So if you create 100 measurements and 50 detailed callouts on a single asset, you only pay for the storage of that one asset file. Your measurement work is free.

Storage allocation by plan:

  • Individual: 1 TB/month

  • Professional: Custom (typically 5–20 TB)

  • Enterprise: Custom

If you hit your limit mid-month, you can delete old assets to free up space (they're deleted immediately, and space is available for the next month), purchase overage storage, or upgrade your plan.

Choosing Your Plan: Quick Decision Tree

Are you a solo user?

  • Yes → Individual (unless you need volume measurements or PDF reports)

  • No → Go to next question

Do you need volume calculations, PDF reports, or multi-person collaboration?

  • Yes → Professional (or Enterprise if you need white labeling or SSO)

  • No → Individual

Do you handle government/defense data, need white labeling, or require on-premises hosting?

  • Yes → Enterprise

  • No → Professional

Troubleshooting

Problem: I see $19 on your website but my invoice says $119.

Cause: You selected the monthly plan at checkout instead of the annual plan.

Fix:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing

  2. Find the "Edit Plan" or "Switch to Annual" button

  3. Select the annual plan ($228/year, or $19/month)

  4. Confirm the change; your next billing cycle reflects the new price

Problem: I'm on Individual but I need to measure volume. Do I have to upgrade?

Cause: Individual plans include distance measurements only. Volume, area, slope, and elevation calculations are Professional+ features.

Fix:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Billing > Plans

  2. Click "Upgrade to Professional"

  3. Complete the checkout flow

  4. Your feature access updates immediately; you can now use full measurements

See Managing Your Subscription for detailed upgrade steps.

Problem: I don't see a PDF Reports feature.

Cause: PDF Reports are available on Professional and Enterprise plans only.

Fix: Upgrade to Professional via Account Settings > Billing > Plans.

Problem: I want to add team members but can't find the option.

Cause: User management is a Professional+ feature.

Fix: Upgrade to Professional, then go to Account Settings > Team Members to invite users by email.

Problem: My storage is full.

Cause: You've exceeded your monthly storage allocation.

Fix — choose one:

  1. Delete old assets — Remove projects you no longer need; space is freed for the next month.

  2. Buy overage storage — Add $0.50/GB to your invoice (Individual plans only).

  3. Upgrade your plan — Professional includes more storage and often pays for itself if you're repeatedly buying overage.

Check your usage anytime at Account Settings > Billing > Storage.

Legacy Plans (Core & Business)

If your account is on the deprecated Core or Business plan, you can keep using it indefinitely. However, you're missing:

  • 3D Gaussian Splats (3DGS)

  • Point clouds

  • Orthomosaics

  • Asset Compare

  • DXF overlays

To unlock these features, upgrade to Individual or Professional via your billing page. See Managing Your Subscription for step-by-step upgrade instructions. Most teams find that the new features — especially Asset Compare for progress tracking — pay for themselves quickly.

Technical Notes

  • Measurements and callouts don't count toward storage — only your uploaded files and textures do.

  • Concurrent users: Professional and Enterprise plans support unlimited simultaneous logins. Each team member has their own credentials.

  • Billing cycles: Individual plans renew monthly or annually on your anniversary date. Professional and Enterprise bills follow your contract terms.

  • Trial period: All new accounts get a 15-day free trial with Individual plan features. After trial ends, your account expires unless you subscribe.

  • Auto-renewal: All paid plans auto-renew on your billing date. You can cancel anytime (see Cancellation & Auto-Renewal).
